We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students to CHS on Wednesday 4th September 2024. This page and the short film above will give you more information about what will happen between now and when you join our school community in September.

Throughout the summer term, our Headteacher - Ms Thurland, Deputy Headteacher - Mrs Darling, our Pastoral Support Lead - Miss Franks, and our SEND Transition Lead - Mrs Taylor, will be visiting all our new starters in their primary schools. They'll talk with you in groups and individually to answer any questions you have and, very importantly, find out more about you, your likes and dislikes and your friendship groups. They'll then use this information to help put you all in to Year 7 tutor groups, containing some of your primary school classmates, when you start in September.

We will hold our 2024 Transition Discovery Days on Thursday 27th June and Friday 28th June, when all the Year 6 pupils who have accepted a place at our school will be invited to spend two days with us here, meet their Form Tutors and take part in a variety of lessons and activities. We will also hold a Transition Information Evening for Parents and Carers from 6:00pm on Thursday 27th June, which will include a short presentation and an introduction to form tutors.

For more information on the Transition Discovery Days and our Parents/Carers Information Evening, please refer to the Transition Discovery Days letter in the downloads below, or contact Miss Franks via the School Office or by email (lfranks@congletonhigh.com) if you have any questions.
